24 hFailed or abandoned uploadsScheduled for deletion 24 hours after the upload started.
30 daysEvidence clipsThe short clips around each suggestion. Then the audio expires and the text stays.

Expired audio is unavailable in the app. A service or database outage can delay database cleanup until the service resumes.
What you send
Your original file stays on your device. When you confirm an upload, only your selected audio is sent to Talklooma, OpenRouter and the AI provider used to process it. Your microphone may pick up other voices or speaker audio, so listen and select your own speech.
We also keep processing identifiers with the session to help trace which provider handled the audio. These are removed when the session is deleted.
Backup retention and deletion handling must be configured before real recordings are used. We request a zero-retention route from OpenRouter. OpenRouter and external providers may retain content for safety or legal reasons, and provider policies differ.
Delete a session
Deleting a session removes its stored audio, transcript, connected lessons and practice results from the active database.
On phones you can review, practise and upload files. Talklooma does not record in the background or record calls.
